Apple Pie Bars
Equipment
- 1 9×13 glass pan
- 1 mixing bowl
- 1 spatula
Ingredients
- 1 cup (226 g) butter (2 sticks)
- 1 cup (200 g) granulated sugar
- 3 cups (375 g) all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 4 cups (1020 g) apple pie filling (see notes below to make your own)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375℉.
- Mix softened butter and sugar together in a mixing bowl.
- Add flour, salt and baking soda and powder. Mix together well. It should look crumbly.
- Put about 1/2 of the mixture in a 9×13 pan. Press down flat with a spoon or fingers.
- Spread the pie filling evenly over the crust.
- Add remaining crumbles to the top of the pie filling.
- Bake about 25-30 minutes until the top is starting to get light brown.
- Cool completely before serving.
